Education and work are supposed to connect. In reality, they don’t speak the same language. Students complete programs without a clear picture of what skills they can apply in real careers. Institutions make high-stakes decisions without a shared, defensible way to describe what outcomes they actually produce. Employers see credentials, but struggle to understand what candidates can do. Everyone is acting in good faith. But without a common skills language, the system runs on assumptions instead of clarity. Mapademics exists to make skills the shared language between education, careers, and the labor market. We make skills visible, defensible, and usable - so decisions about curriculum, transfer, hiring, and workforce development are grounded in evidence instead of guesswork.

We've worked at the intersection of education, technology, and labor markets. We've seen how much effort goes into curriculum and how little of that effort translates into shared understanding.

We've sat in rooms where important decisions were delayed or derailed because the evidence wasn't visible or trusted.

This company exists because we were not satisfied with "that's just how it works." We built Mapademics because this problem is solvable, and because it matters.
